While high speed internet is dominating the internet market, it hasn't quite put dialup internet in its final resting place. The slow, but resilient, service continues to hang around, especially in the state of Washington, where dialup internet is available for free to residents.
Dialup internet is still available across the country, and it's much cheaper than high speed. For residents of certain parts of Washington, however, there is a free dialup service offered through a website called nocharge.com. Through this site, people can get access to dialup internet phone numbers free of charge.
Washington residents only have to visit nocharge.com and download their internet connection software to get started. The software is available for free on the site. However, if a resident has to make a long distance call to connect, long distance fees will be charged.
This is a great option for people that need to access the internet at home, but may not have the money to pay for high speed. Dialup internet isn't going to be the fastest connection out there, but for things like checking email or catching up on work, it's a very inexpensive solution.

Definitely!!! Broadband can be anywhere between 10 to 100 times quicker than dial up. Dial up is like the grandfather of Internet connectivity. Many advances have been made since it's inception. Broadband is also a permanent connection and much more efficient at downloading things. Broadband can also be about 10 times faster than dsl.
