While dial-up Internet may seem like an outdated form of online connection to high speed Internet users, it still achieves a quality service for many in the state of Montana. Unlike high speed Internet, dial-up is not in high demand, meaning providers charge much less to connect residents to the web. Today, we have high speed Internet and wireless Internet on our cell phones, so dial-up seems like a thing of the past. But some providers still offer traditional dial-up, and its functions are still pertinent to many people. Dial-up Internet provides one of the least expensive ways to gain access to the web: Most providers only change between $5 and $8 a month for service. It serves as a great option for those who use the Internet infrequently or have access to Internet in many places and do not require high speed at home.

Options in Montana include dial-up Internet from Basic ISP and Copper.net offer multiple options, including services to split lines for those who do not wish to tie up their phone line while surfing the web.

Definitely!!! Broadband can be anywhere between 10 to 100 times quicker than dial up. Dial up is like the grandfather of Internet connectivity. Many advances have been made since it's inception. Broadband is also a permanent connection and much more efficient at downloading things. Broadband can also be about 10 times faster than dsl.
