While the days of dial-up Internet seem long ago, when one would wait impatiently at the computer, waiting for it to dial and connect to the Internet, this form of connection is still available today. Even though high speed Internet has advanced online communication, dial-up Internet continues to serve as a valuable tool for Massachusetts residents. It provides a less expensive way to get online access-- less than $10 a month. The service is ideal for those who use the Internet on a sporadic basis or who have access to high speed Internet in other locations.
Dial-up Internet providers in Massachusetts include Toast.net and Copper.net, both of which offer many different plans. One can choose from the least expensive Internet through a phone line, or they can pay an extra free for DSL, which allows Internet access without tying up the phone. Massachusetts residents can find adequate services with these providers.

Definitely!!! Broadband can be anywhere between 10 to 100 times quicker than dial up. Dial up is like the grandfather of Internet connectivity. Many advances have been made since it's inception. Broadband is also a permanent connection and much more efficient at downloading things. Broadband can also be about 10 times faster than dsl.
