Bundled services are a recently new package offered by Internet, cable television, phone, and cellular companies. Since customers can find services for each of these with different companies, providers do not always retain the customer for every service they offer. And individuals and businesses paying for the services then have multiple monthly bills, each going to a different provider with a different customer service department. This can make for a greater hassle and expense to receive multiple services. However, with a bundled service, one can attain Internet, cable TV, telephone, and even cellular services from the same company, all bundled together in one price, with one bill each month. The bundled services are offered at a lower rate than the customer would pay for them individually, and the provider gets the benefit of retaining the customer for all services.

The prices depend more on what services you are looking for. If you are just wanting a small family plan with shared minutes and no other services, then bundle plans would be cheaper. If you want all of the internet services and text messaging, then individual plans may be cheaper. Again, it is all dependent on what services you want with the plan.

The price will often depend upon which market you live, with lower prices being available in those areas with more competition. SBC has recently run a promotion offering a bundled phone and DSL service for $29.99 for the period of one year and then $49.99 thereafter.
