While dial-up Internet seems like an obsolete tool to many tech-savvy, high-speed Internet users, it still exists as a handy way to get online at a fraction of the cost of many high speed Internet providers. Dial-up doesn't mean that one has to give up access to a phone line. Dial-up services work well for individuals or families who use the Internet infrequently or for small amounts of time, or those who want to cut cost and have access to the Internet at work. This allows Alabama residents to have access to the Internet while paying a very small monthly fee-- only around $5 to $8.
Dial-up Internet can be found with providers like Toast.net and Copper.net, both of whom offer various plans and prices to suit a multitude of needs. Alabama residents can take advantage of the low prices and options with these smaller providers.
