how long can you draw unemployment in vermont Post by loree982008 in Barre, VT Post Your Reply

Based on Vermont Law a benefit year for unemployment benefits is 52 weeks, of which you are allowed to claim a benefit for 26 or until you reach your maximum benefits allowed. What this means is that if you receive only partial benefits at any time during your 26 week period, you can continue to claim benefits until you exhaust your maximum allowable benefit amount. Once you have exhausted this amount you must wait until the end of your 52 week benefit year before applying for more benefits.

Contact your counties community action council they can help you get signed up for income based housing and can provide you with a list of available places. In your area also you can call 211 and they can provide assistance in locating housing, food, employment, etc. There is also a website www. Family to Family.org that would be helpful.
