    Yes,although they don't record at the same definition.A super-vhs vcr does the same resolution as a dvd and satellite,but most vcrs will give you an inferior playback to the signal it uses.

    You can watch satellite tv on your computer as well but as stated in the previous thread you do not get local channels which is a bummer.

    Satellite tv is great because there is an infinite number of programs, movies, sports etc. The biggest downside is the availability. When I was in college they used satellite tv and our campus was atop a hill so it had a good chance of being windy at times. When it was windy out, you knew you didn't get tv. The picture seemed to skip and was pixelated a lot. So weather can effect satellite tv.
