In order to compete with others offering single competing services, companies resort to service bundles that cater to clients' other needs. The ones who pack the biggest wallops in this area are understandably the heavyweights. AT&T for example can provide a bundle that includes IPTV(Internet Protocol Television), high speed Internet, phone and cell services.
The IPTV component in the bundle, for example, is directly competitive to cable TV and satellite TV offerings. As a result, companies who have specialized in specific services have started to branch out to offer similar bundles themselves. Time Warner is one of them. In Texas, Time Warner is now offering digital phone/digital cable/high speed Internet bundles.
There are however those who do not have the capability to offer other services. Direct TV, which is a satellite TV company, is also feeling the heat generated by these bundles. However, since it cannot offer other services, it has resorted to giving special offers. In Texas, its Premier plan which will cost roughly $53 for 3 months will allow customers to save up to $559. That already includes 265 channels; 3 months free on HBO, Showtime, and Starz; and a free HD DVR receiver upgrade. It may not be able to compete in the other services but at least will somehow secure its niche.

Many internet providers can provide bundled services such as including high-speed internet and land-line phone usage. This can include AT&T, known as SBC Global, Comcast, and Clear.
The prices depend more on what services you are looking for. If you are just wanting a small family plan with shared minutes and no other services, then bundle plans would be cheaper. If you want all of the internet services and text messaging, then individual plans may be cheaper. Again, it is all dependent on what services you want with the plan.
The price will often depend upon which market you live, with lower prices being available in those areas with more competition. SBC has recently run a promotion offering a bundled phone and DSL service for $29.99 for the period of one year and then $49.99 thereafter. The actual prices you are offered may vary and you should contact SBC directly for a quote.
It depends on which internet provider you use. But usually bundled cable and internet will run around 80 to 100 dollars.
