While the series was popular with a core group of fans, it never really became a huge hit. The series lasted only 2 seasons, although re-runs of the series were picked up a few years later, and another network considered picking up the series. However, by that time, Tom Hanks was on his way to establishing himself as a film star and Peter Scolari was starring in the Newhart show on television, and the thoughts of bringing the show back went away.

While the show only lasted 2years and 38 episodes, it was a unique show that presented two young men with an opportunity to live among women, by pretending to be women. They guys had a chance to live life from a feminine perspective. As two young girls from Saskatchewan, Buffy and Hildy were not the most feminine characters on TV, but they along with Kip and Henry were certainly among the most memorable duos.
